Telehealth therapy for veterans and service members, from a Navy submarine Veteran and former VA social worker. Free 15-minute consultation.
Therapy from someone who knows the culture.
I’m a Navy submarine veteran, and I spent nearly four years as a VA social worker in homeless services (HUD-VASH). Submariners call it the silent service. Staying quiet about what’s heavy comes with the territory. It doesn’t have to stay that way.
What we might work on
- Identity after service: who you are when the mission, the structure, and the crew are gone
- Anxiety, trauma, and being on alert all the time
- Anger and irritability
- Sleep, stress, and burnout
- Strain at home and in relationships
- The move from military to civilian life
You don’t need to have it all figured out. You don’t need a diagnosis, a combat story, or a crisis. If something feels off, that’s enough.
How it works. Telehealth sessions, practical and collaborative. We work out what’s driving the pattern, build skills you can use between sessions, and move at a pace that lasts. I use CBT, with DBT skills, narrative work, and a strengths-based approach.
About privacy. This is a private practice, separate from the VA and the military. Confidentiality has legal limits, which I explain in the FAQ, and I’m glad to answer questions about records or career concerns before you decide.
